Yorkville Lighting Systems FAQ

Q:We recently purchased the LP-608 Controller and use a sequencer for the light scene changes. Every so often (3 times in a 1 hour set) the rate of scene change goes to the minimum setting. This causes the scene changes to be ineffective because they are so slow. This slow rate change stays that way until I manually speed it up with the rate of change knob. Any ideas about what is causing this? Is there a program setting that I can use at the beginning of each song that will cause the rate of change to be fast or is there some way to disable the slow rate of change completely as we only need the fastest rate possible.
A:The pitch wheel command sets the fade rate. It sounds like pitch wheel data is being sent. It is odd that the fade rate is being sent as very slow, the normal middle pitch rate sets the fade to a very usable fade rate (about 1 second). The correction is to send pitch wheel information anywhere from the middle of the range up. You might try programming the scenes to start with centre-pitchwheel.
