Legacy Series - TX5M
Vocal clarity and excellent bass response are also hallmarks of the TX5M. This extremely loud compact wedge can be used with the baffle at either 60° or 40°, on a stand as a full range enclosure, or with a subwoofer (using the TX4P) for maximum application flexibility. The TX5M features the same smooth 2" high frequency driver as the TX8, but mounted on a slightly shorter horn. The 4" voice coil of the proprietary B&C 15" woofer provides increased output to keep pace with the efficient 2" high frequency driver while ensuring safe operation at high sound pressure levels.
Overview
Governed by the TX5P processor which provides the carefully chosen crossover point with steep rolloff slopes to matches the directivity characteristics of the woofer to the horn, smooth horizontal coverage and a seamless transition is provided in the all-important midband. to minimize floor reflections.
Speakon™ connectors are provided on each end of the enclosure for multi-cabinet chains, and two versions of the monitor, the TX5ML and TX5MR - right and left mirror image versions - are available to cover specific stage areas.
The TX5P processor has been engineered specifically for the TX5M to ensure maximum system performance. In case of accidental operation without the TX5P, the TX5M comes with limited-scope passive horn protection built in that does not interfere with the TX5P's crossover slopes.
