ART (Applied Research & Technology) Unveils Three Preamps At 2020 NAMM Show

December 2019

December 5, 2019 (Toronto, On)- Applied Research & Technology (ART) will be bringing three new Preamps for studio and stage use to the upcoming Winter NAMM show. The Precision Phono Preamp, Dual RP Mic Preamp and RP1 Mic Preamp will be on display at Yorkville Sound's Showroom, #17206

PRECISION PHONO PREAMP
ART is proud to introduce the Precision Phono Preamp for those seeking to connect their turntable to PA or stereo in one quick and easy step. This standalone phono preamp interfaces both types of turntable cartridges Moving Coil (MC) and Moving Magnet (MM) to a wide variety of audio systems.

The Precision Phono Preamp's extraordinarily low noise amplifier allows connection to MC cartridges without picking up noise or distortion that transformers can exhibit. The audio is kept pristine with a low-cut filter to remove rumble and low frequency feedback, commonly undesirable for DJ's and home use. Analog inputs on the ART Precision Phono Pre amp are switchable between Moving Magnet and Moving Coil. The unit changes both the gain and the cartridge loading to suit the selected cartridge. The front gain trim control with the signal present/clip LED allows the user to optimize the output for a wide range of cartridges.

"The ART Precision Phono Preamp is built for anybody with a high-end turntable," Says Steve Hendee, Yorkville Sound's Director of Sales. "With this unit, you can easily connect your turntable to any active speaker system and optimize the output to get pristine sound even before connecting to a mixer."

Dual RP Mic Preamp
The ART Dual RP Mic Preamp is the ideal solution for increasing the performance of your ribbon and dynamic microphones. This two-channel preamp brings out all of the nuances of your mic before running into your recording interface or mixer via long cable runs.

With the Dual RP you can tailor the loading on the mic through the variable impedance controls. The discrete preamp circuitry inside is designed for low noise and transparent operation. The balanced output drives long cable runs with easeallowing you to place the preamp as close as possible to the mic before picking up any noise or interference.

RP1 Mic Preamp
For those seeking a single channel preamp to improve the performance of ribbon and dynamic microphones, the RP1 Mic. This preamp brings out all of the nuances of a microphone before running into your recording interface or mixer through long cable runs.

With the RP1 the user can tailor the loading on the mic through the variable impedance control. The low cut filter allows the removal of wind noise and plosives before adding additional gain. The discrete preamp circuitry inside is designed for low noise and transparent operation. Balanced output drives long cable runs with ease allowing the preamp to be placed as close as possible to the mic before picking up any noise or interference.

"The ART DUAL RP and the RP1 Mic Preamps solve two common microphone problems." Says Steve Hendee, Yorkville Sound's US Director of Sales. "We've tuned the unit specifically for ribbon and dynamic mics that require more gain and we've added the ability to set up the unit using long leads for ease of use and without losing any fidelity. The result is better sound and less cumbersome restrictions."

Experience the Precision Phono, Dual RP and RP1 Preamps this Winter NAMM at Yorkville Sound's showroom #17206.
